Malahat Nation Joins the DFO Ghost Gear Program to Clean Up the Salish Sea

Naut'sa mawt Tribal Council extends our congratulations to Malahat Nation on their recent partnership in the Fisheries and Oceans Canada Ghost Gear Program. Malahat Nation will undertake mapping and removal of ghost fishing debris in the Salish Sea using funding awarded by the Ghost Gear Fund over the next three years, thus improving ocean health and contributing to Canada's blue economy.
