Thank you to everyone who joined us for the First Annual Emergency Preparedness Gathering at səlilwətaɬ.
Emergency planners from the Member Nations came together on the land to share knowledge, experiences, and practical learnings focused on strengthening emergency preparedness and response across our Nations. The group also completed training for emergency management, earthquake response, and mental health wellness.
We raise our hands to our service providers who attended the gathering and presented to our group, First Nations Emergency Services Society, Ministry of Emergency Management and Climate Readiness, Indigenous Services of Canada, and First Nations Health Authority.
We raise our hands in gratitude to səlilwətaɬ for allowing us to host the gathering on their lands and supporting us in this important work together. There is a lot of excitement and ideas for next years Emergency Preparedness Gathering!
