About the conference
In response to requests from members
that we offer training to new Chiefs and
Councillors, we are coordinating with
the National Centre for First Nations
Governance to provide a one-day work-
shop on the Essentials for Effective
Leadership that will explain the key
roles and responsibilities that
Councillors have to their communities,
the Council and outside organizations.
It will also explore considerations for
traditional governance and
opportunities to develop approaches
to governing according to the needs
of your community.
While the information will be essential
for new Councilors, all members of
Chief and Council for all member
nations are welcome to attend.
